Finally. Like, seriously seriously, finally. When have we stopped working since August? It's been an insane unprecedented period of mad rush and stress none of us had ever experienced. Projects, meetings, group assignments, readings, readings, readings, cases, literature, cases, cases, texts, readings, meetings, meetings, weekly skeletals, presentations, cases, readings, presentations, meetings, and readings. And then you accumulate the backlogs and get more stressed up.
Daymn, and it's only the first term. I feel burnt out just thinking bout what's yet to come.
Yes, I'm burnt out. Burnt more than ashes. How not to, when you've been sprinting at your maximum speed for 3 months, and then for the final 2 weeks you find yourself having to sprint even more everyday? For the past 2 weeks between 9pm and 7am, I was mugging for the exams. What used to feel like long silent nights became transient periods of available mugging time. That's how evil mugging gets. It's the devil. Possess you and takes the human out of you. I'm so skinny now, I've lost what it takes to appear on Men's Health's cover ToT Now I feel lazy to get it back.
Welll so after the last paper yesterday, I finally managed to get a night's rest. Feels good. Not bad. Reminds me of the deep sleep I had when O Levels finally ended.
This holiday- I deserve it more than anything else. And if my grades disappoint me, I'll pretty much lose the confidence and motivation to try further. When you've put it so much and you're told but you can't really get what you want, then perhaps law school realllly isn't for you. Then maybe I'll slump to a corner and melt away into a puddle of pudding.
It's the last month of the eventful year. I wonder what's in store yet.
